Health Surveillance
Working closely with our health and safety teams, occupational health expertise is used to analyse and examine existing work practices. The purpose of this is to ergonomically review and if necessary redesign work methodologies and systems. By so doing it will minimise exposure of workers to situations that are potentially hazardous to health.
Workers who are exposed to a hazard which can not be avoided must be monitored via a health surveillance programme. The purpose of monitoring is to minimise risk. The monitoring identifies diseases related to exposure to occupational hazards at an early stage. In additional monitoring identifies any patterns of symptoms.

Wellbeing at Work
Employers have always been responsible to protect the emotional and physical wellbeing of the workforce. Employers are increasingly aware of the legal requirement and benefits of monitoring emotional wellbeing. Furthermore, stress can permeate through a workforce or a team and the symptoms are not easy to detect at least in the early stages. The cause may need careful examination. HR First works with organisations to provide programmes to develop awareness and to improve emotional wellbeing and to identify and address any root causes through management training.
All our occupational health specialists have extensive practical and commercial experience of finding solutions in a variety of contexts.
